Ladore Spillway Seismic Upgrade Project

Following the completion of the John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project, BC Hydro is now embarking on three seismic safety projects on the Campbell River system on Vancouver Island. The Ladore Spillway Seismic Upgrade Project includes the replacement of spillway gates and hoist systems, construction of new control and backup power buildings, and additional anchoring of the spillway piers to bedrock to strengthen the site’s resilience. Once complete, this critical infrastructure upgrade will help ensure the facility can continue to safely pass water downstream following a major earthquake or significant flood event.

OUR SCOPE

For this project, we are delivering a range of integrated electrical and technology solutions. Our scope includes the detailed design and installation of critical systems, including power distribution, fire alarm, generation, security, and control systems, supporting the safe and reliable operation of the upgraded facility.
