PROJECT INFO

The BC Cancer centre at the Royal Inland Hospital campus in Kamloops is a new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility that will provide people in BC’s Interior with expanded access to cancer care closer to home. As part of BC’s 10-Year Cancer Action Plan, this new five-storey facility will blend advanced cancer care with Indigenous culture through a patient-centric design.

Located adjacent to Royal Inland Hospital, the new centre will include a dedicated space for radiation treatment, radiation therapy planning, including a CT Simulator, an outpatient ambulatory care unit with 10 exam rooms, two consultation rooms for radiation therapy services, an additional MRI suite, and patient arrival and check-in areas.

In addition to the cancer centre, there will also be upgrades to the community oncology clinic within Royal Inland Hospital. These upgrades will modernize the space and increase the number of cancer treatment spaces and exam rooms.

The new BC Cancer centre will showcase our in-house expertise in delivering complex electrical and technology solutions. Our scope of work covers electrical construction, including a 350KW photovoltaic system, along with full IMIT integration of fire alarm systems, structured cabling, nurse call, security and duress systems, access control, CCTV, and Distributed Antenna Systems.
