BC Cancer and Provincial Health Services Authority, in partnership with Island Health, are building a new BC Cancer centre in Nanaimo to enhance access to cancer services for the people of central and northern Vancouver Island. 

Once completed in 2028, the centre will include 16 treatment bays and two treatment rooms for systemic therapy, CT and PET/CT scanners, an oncology ambulatory care unit with 12 exam rooms, four consult rooms and space for medical physicists and radiation therapists, four linear accelerator vaults, a new oncology pharmacy and additional parking, including a parkade and surface lot.

OUR SCOPE

For this project, Houle is delivering the electrical and technology scope, including electrical construction, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, nurse call, security and duress, access control, CCTV and Distributed Antenna Systems.
