Published annually since 2006, BC’s Top Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes employers in British Columbia that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Canada’s Top 100 Employers evaluated employers throughout the province using the same criteria as the national competition, including physical workplace, work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement. The annual competition is open to any employer with its head office in British Columbia, regardless of size or sector.

The 27th Annual Victoria News Best of the City results are in! We’re proud to be named among the top three Best Electricians in Victoria hosted by Black Press Media! A big thanks to all those that voted and the community for your continued trust and support.
The Best of the City contest featured more than 130 categories and received more than 80,000 votes. The contest ran from April 15, 2021 to June 6, 2021.
The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) has awarded Houle with the 2021 Safety Award of Excellence for a subcontractor with 200,000 or more person-hours. The award honors contractors who have maintained a superior safety record throughout the year. The award criteria are based on a contractor’s claims records with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and are a reflection of a company’s overall commitment to safety. Our exceptional safety record speaks volumes about our focus on maintaining a safe work environment for its employees.
