It was an honour to participate in the Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) 2022 Awards Gala again this year. This industry event celebrates the work VICA members do across Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and coastal British Columbia. This year, we are delighted to be recognized with the following awards:

- Subcontractor Award Under $2 Million – Nanaimo Airport Terminal
We are proud of our employees’ steadfast commitment to safety and we congratulate the Nanaimo Airport Expansion project team for their collaboration and innovation that contributed to the successful delivery of this complex project. Our multi-disciplined team had the opportunity to provide electrical and technology solutions, including main electrical, security, structured cabling, and audio-visual. Published annually since 2006, BC’s Top Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes employers in British Columbia that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. The 27th Annual Victoria News Best of the City results are in! We’re proud to be named among the top three Best Electricians in Victoria hosted by Black Press Media! A big thanks to all those that voted and the community for your continued trust and support.
The Best of the City contest featured more than 130 categories and received more than 80,000 votes. The contest ran from April 15, 2021 to June 6, 2021.
The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) has awarded Houle with the 2021 Safety Award of Excellence for a subcontractor with 200,000 or more person-hours. The award honors contractors who have maintained a superior safety record throughout the year. The award criteria are based on a contractor’s claims records with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and are a reflection of a company’s overall commitment to safety. Our exceptional safety record speaks volumes about our focus on maintaining a safe work environment for its employees.
