Project info

BC Hydro’s Site C Clean Energy Project will be a third dam and hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River in Northeast B.C. It will provide 1,100 MW of capacity, and produce about 5,100 GWh of electricity each year — enough energy to power the equivalent of approximately 450,000 homes per year in BC.

Our scope for the Spillways and Generating Station includes the supply and installation of all permanent grounding, embedded conduits and duct banks for the entire generating station, and powerhouse high-bay lighting in the Main Service Bay. Our scope also consists of the design-build of the temporary power system required to provide construction power for all the equipment and material to AFDE and other major contractors on the site for the five-year duration of the project. As of 2022, we have installed 5km of overhead 25kV lines, 25 25kV unit substations, nine 500kV pole-top transformer setups, and fibre optic cable for communications.
