Houle team at the 2025 Champion of the Crescent

2025 Champion of the Crescent

On Friday, July 18, Houle proudly participated in the 2025 Champion of the Crescent. This annual paddleboard event is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for youth mental health initiatives in BC.

As both a Course Sponsor and a competing team, we laughed, splashed, and paddled alongside our peers to help raise a remarkable $225,433 for Surrey Hospital Foundation programs supporting children and young adults across BC.

Importantly, proceeds from the event will fund a range of mental health programs for children and young adults across BC. Programs include:

  • Art, Music, and Recreation Therapy
  • Sensory Interventions
  • Therapeutic Writing Programs

Together, these initiatives offer creative and therapeutic outlets for youth, enabling them to build resilience, express themselves, and access meaningful care in safe and supportive environments.

At Houle, we support initiatives that help build stronger and more resilient communities. We believe that investing in youth mental health is an investment in the future — one that empowers the next generation and paves the way for a future where young individuals can thrive, reach their full potential, and prioritize their well-being.

Thank you to the Surrey Hospitals Foundation for organizing this impactful event and for leading the efforts in youth mental health across the province. By working together, we can all stand up for youth mental health and create a brighter, healthier future.
