Teck West Line Creek Active Water Treatment Facility Project Site

West Line Creek Active Water Project

Projects / Industrial

Project info

The West Line Creek Active Water Treatment Facility was the first treatment facility in operation as part of Teck’s implementation of the Elk Valley Water Quality Plan. The goal was to stabilize and reverse the trend of selenium and other substances to ensure the ongoing health of the Elk Valley watershed while at the same time allowing for continued sustainable mining in the region.

Our team provided the project’s electrical distribution, controls, instrumentation, network and fibre optic cabling, and electrical heat trace scope. To complete the project amidst a compressed schedule, our project team provided multiple crews to work day and night shifts. Project materials, tools, and equipment were also carefully managed to minimize schedule delays.
