Project info
This collaborative multi-year project, organized between Mid-Island communities, is building a Level 2 charging network across Central Vancouver Island. This initiative was developed in support of BC’s Clean Transportation goal of reducing carbon emissions.
In addition to addressing environmental concerns, this venture will also increase tourism by EV drivers to the region, ease the transition to EV’s for local residents, and support economic development.
The EV chargers are located in nine districts between Nanaimo and Tofino: 6th Street Courtenay, Bowen, Comox Community Centre, Cumberland Cultural Centre, Lantzville, Lewis Centre, Nanaimo City Hall, Oliver Woods, and Small Craft Harbour Tofino.
We provided turn-key solutions to install 27 dual-head and one single-head Level 2 EV charging equipment. This included all electrical wiring, trenching, testing, configuration, and commissioning.

Project info
For 40 years, the original centre acted as a cornerstone for the Maillardville neighbourhood. As time passed, the aging facility could no longer support the needs of a growing community. The City of Coquitlam decided it was time for a new community centre to replace the previous neighbourhood house.
Completed in the Fall of 2022, the new 22,000 square foot facility doubles the size of the previous community centre and features the City’s first ever dedicated gym. The centre features modern amenities include a teaching kitchen, a combined youth and seniors lounge, a kid-centric space, a studio fitness space, and more. These new diverse offerings and programs will allow the facility to serve more families.
We performed the electrical, structured cabling, and AV scope of work for this project. This included installing the electrical distribution equipment, lighting and lighting control, inverters and AV equipment. Through the planning prepared by our PPS team, and thorough coordination on site, we were able to foresee potential obstacles and plan accordingly to deliver a successful project.

Project info
Clayton Community Centre has been an incredible addition to community life in Surrey, BC. With music and recording studios, a rehearsal hall, gymnasium, fitness centre, and library, this unique facility was created to promote arts and culture in the community. At completion, this impressive building was the first community centre to achieve Passive House certification in North America, and is Canada’s largest Passive House facility to date.
With the goal of reducing the building’s carbon footprint and meeting the high performance and comfort levels of the Passive House standard, this sustainable new build project was an exciting opportunity for us to use a wide range of our skills and services. We took on the main electrical scope as well as a full technology scope, including fire alarm and battery backup, lighting, security, structured cabling, and audio visual components.
For lighting, we installed 1,801 light fixtures including 63 7’x7’x7′ triangle LED lights designed to simulate daylight. Our security scope included access control, intrusion, code blue, and video management system. We installed shielded CAT6a to future-proof the building for increased network speeds, along with a DAS system for emergency response. For audio visual, we installed user device-friendly interfaces and digital reservation displays for each room and high-end speakers throughout the premise.
