Neptune Terminals is one of the largest multi-product bulk terminals in North America, covering 29 hectares in North Vancouver, BC. The Coal Facilities Upgrade was a large-scale overhaul of the facility in order to increase the throughput capacity of the existing coal exports.

Neptune Terminals now has the capacity to export 20 million tonnes of metallurgical coal per year, compared to its previous 10 million tonnes per year.

We completed all the electrical construction and instrumentation work for this project including project estimation, procurement, installation and execution, control, management and schedule, quality control and commissioning services. Our scope included electrical work on the new tandem dumper and dumper building, new train indexer, new e-house (including three 3.75/5 MVA, 12.47kv/480V transformers), two new incoming conveyors, new transfer tower (and modifications to existing tower), and upgrades to the existing surge bin, outgoing conveyor, and sampling tower.
