Scope of Work

Completed: 2026

Owner: Northern Health

Mills Memorial Hospital is an essential part of the Terrace community and has
provided healthcare to the surrounding Northern BC region for decades. The
original hospital opened in 1961, and over the years has undergone upgrades and
renovations. Despite these improvements, the hospital must be replaced to meet
the long-term requirements of the community and region.
Now, Northern Health is building a new Mills Memorial Hospital to completely
replace the existing facility. At about 356,500 square feet, this will be a brand new
acute care hospital that will address current and future patient care needs. The
hospital will serve as a regional centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries
pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. This hospital will
also provide a training ground for medical students in the Northern Medical
