Scope of Work

Completed: 2015

Owner: McArthurGlen Group

The McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in Richmond, BC brings unique European styling and high end brands to Greater Vancouver. Working with Austria based contractor Strabag International, Houle design-built the electrical and low voltage systems. This included lighting, service and distribution, data systems, security systems, public address, and people and car counting systems. All of these systems went through the design phase followed by a complete installation and turnover. Additionally, Houle was responsible for the tenant fit-outs for the fire alarm system.

Challenges
While working on this project, Houle was faced with a tight schedule with staged occupancy dates. There was also substantial changes made by the owner. To ensure these obstacles did not affect Houle’s ability to complete the project on time, extra manpower was brought on board.

Successes
The project was completed on schedule through cooperation with other trades and due to successful internal scheduling.
