The Project
1133 Melville, known as “The Stack” for its unique stacked-box aesthetic, will be Vancouver’s tallest commercial tower at 37 storeys. It is Canada’s first commercial
high-rise tower to achieve the CaGBC Zero Carbon Building-Design standard certification and is working towards achieving LEED® Platinum standards. The design of the building, a twisting stack of varying sized boxes, is inspired by the surrounding buildings; the different heights and forms will create unique amenity spaces for the tenants. It includes 554,640 leasable square feet alongside restaurant, retail space and below-grade parking.
Our Scope
Being a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) project, we’ve been able to positively impact the project’s budget, schedule, and execution through collaboration as a design-assist partner. Our in-house technology and project planning teams delivered integrated electrical and technology solutions — including electrical construction, lighting, security, structured cabling, and audio visual.
