COVID-19: Operations Update

03/19/2020  We hope you are doing well and staying safe! Just wanted to update you on what we’re doing in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

During this time, we intend to operate at full capacity. As safety is our first priority, we have implemented various strategies to be proactive and protect our customers, staff, partners, and the vulnerable in our communities. To continue performing safe work, here are some of the things we’re doing:

  1. Maintaining our 24/7 Houle Operations Centre with all systems live (our team has full capacity to work from home virtually)
  2. Administering a pre-screening questionnaire for service calls
  3. Screening for safety on project job sites; and
  4. Outfitting our Services teams with precautionary equipment, especially for supporting our Health Care, Government, and BC infrastructure customers

Additionally, we have taken the following precautionary steps across our company:

  1. Emphasized proper hand washing and sanitization
  2. Asked employees to stay home if they are not feeling well
  3. Adopted a “no hand-shake” policy
  4. Asked employees to work from home as able
  5. Limited business travel to only that which is essential
  6. Emphasized to meet by phone or Skype whenever possible
  7. Directed employees to self-isolate at home for 14 days if they have travelled abroad or come into contact with anyone at risk
  8. Communicated these policies with our suppliers and partners
  9. Developed a committee to create plans for business continuity

Again, thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time. We look forward to continue serving you and encourage you to reach out to us by posting a comment, calling 1.844.GO.HOULE, or visiting us at houle.ca.
