1978, Houle Electric has been
serving the residential, business,
industrial and public sector
needs of beautiful Victoria,
BC.
Known for their leading expertise
in Emergency Service, Building
Controls and Network Services,
the branch’s long list
of clients includes the Government
of BC, Vancouver Island Health
Authority, the University of
Victoria and national telecommunication
service providers. The branch
has also played a significant
role in the development of the
world-renown Dockside Green
development.
Branch Manager Ross McLean and
his team of 65+ employees are
actively involved in and support
many community sports organizations
including minor hockey and the
Camosun Chargers Basketball
Team. They are also avid supporters
of United Way, Victoria Hospice
and Habitat for Humanity.

Ross
McLean, Branch Manager for Houle
Electric in Victoria, started
with the company in 1979 as
an estimator and project manager
in Prince George. Ross then
became Network Systems Manager
before moving to Victoria in
1986 to become Service Manager.
In 1993, Ross accepted a position
with AT&T Bell Labs in their
Network Services Division. After
a 5 year tenure managing systems
fiber and copper for Western
Canada, Ross returned to Houle
Electric to become Manager of
the Network Systems and Controls
Divsions for Vancouver Island.
In 2001, Ross became Branch
Manager in Victoria.
Ross is a member of the Electrical
Contractors Association of BC,
and is past chairman of this
organization for the Prince
George chapter, as well as past
president for the Vancouver
Island Chapter. He holds a Red
Seal Trade Certification.
